Cell Model
Build a model of either a plant or animal cell. Your model can be made of whatever materials you choose, including food. Food projects may be shared with your classmates on the project due date with prior approval (in order to be sensitive to students with food allergies).
Your model should meet the following criteria:
There is no limit to how large or small your project can be. However, the model must be practical and easy to view/grade.
Up to 20 points will be awarded for this portion of the project, based on the following criteria:
Your model should meet the following criteria:
- Label indicating whether your cell is from a plant or an animal.
- At least 10 distinct organelles found in that type of cell. Each needs to be made from a unique material.
- Clear labels for each organelle.
- A separate chart describing the function of each organelle.

- 10 points - Model containing at least 10 organelles found in the designated cell type.
- 5 points - Chart correctly describes the function of each organelle.
- 5 points - Model is neat and creative, incorporating color where appropriate.
